I was honoured at the end of last year to take photographs for Francesca Baker of And So She Thinks. Beginning like all great things, it started with a coffee before several photographs in Eleto Chocolate Cafe, Folkestone, and a wander through Folkestone’s full festive garb. It was also the second time I got to let my new camera loose.
Francesca is involved with great organisations like The Margate Bookie and does a lot for poetry and wellbeing in Kent, running events and workshops. On top of this she is an adept and diverse writer and freelancer, helping lots of organisations express themselves through the content creation and social media!
“Everything I do comes from my core values – communication, connection, curiosity and creativity. And So She Thinks is me, my passions, my skills, and my plans; a place to share my thoughts and the things that I discover.
I’m an NCTJ trained journalist, and through freelance journalism, radio and podcasting, creative writing and more the focus of my work is telling the story of things that excite me. I’ve written for TNT, The Establishment, State of the Arts, Le Cool, Mature Times, Adios Barbie and more. I run creative writing workshops, which you can book here, and work as an editor for authors in health and psychology.”

I had a great time on Valentines Day taking photos at Eleto Chocolate Cafe, Folkestone! Between the … inspired dancing, I got these shots that I quite like.

Today’s door celebrates the majesty and beauty of nature! I took this picture of the white cliffs in St Margarets at Cliffe back in the Summer, it was so sunny and warm then!
It almost ironic that a lback and white cpature can sometimes capture more life and detail than one in full colour.
I was very honoured to be asked to photograph the event Eritrea On A Plate. It was an incredible evening of food, culture and music at Eleto Chocolate Cafe.
It’s a sleepy Wednesday. But as time ceaselessly travels forward day three becomes a day four.
Hello and welcome to day three! Today is mostly sponsored by an unexpectedly strong matcha latte.
I was honoured to be part of Lapidus International, performing a set of poems about mental health
I’m very excited to share my first live streamed poetry performance! I did through Facebook Live on Thursday 2nd April, and found it scary but exciting!
Few things come together better than delicous food and great music! Proof of this was the night by Folkestones Yo Yo’s Street Food and the Gumboots Reggae Band.
I am honoured to announce I will be part of Francesca Baker/And So She Thinks’s Rural Writers scheme.
