Ode To The Blue Tit

Harbinger of light

You dash the grey

Like sunbeams

Gone astray

You stir my spirits

Long dormant in this cold

You whisper new life

Into what was old

I count my mind another tree

That you occupy

Radiating glee

Joy, dressed in yellow and blue

And further more

I feel honoured by you

Most timorous marvelous beastie

Bringing Spring to my balcony

A most dear sight

As Winter puts up one last fight

And life's hue stubbornly remains

Pandemic blue

Harbinger of light

Thank you
